Terms of Service

1. About DSM Connect

DSM Connect is a local business marketing and discovery platform operated by DSM Digital (Pty) Ltd, a South African company. We help consumers find trusted local businesses and help business owners market their services through AI-generated content, multi-channel distribution, and performance analytics.

By using DSM Connect, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Account rules

  • You must be 18 years or older to create a business account
  • You must provide accurate, complete, and current information about yourself and your business
  • You may only register one account per business
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account

3. Acceptable use

You may not use DSM Connect to:

  • Submit fake, misleading, or fraudulent business listings
  • Impersonate another business, individual, or organisation
  • Advertise illegal products, services, or activities
  • Send unsolicited commercial messages (spam) to other users or businesses
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform, other accounts, or our systems
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download content from the platform without our permission

We reserve the right to remove any content or account that violates these rules.

4. Payment and subscriptions

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in South African Rand, VAT inclusive at the prevailing rate
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period
  • We do not issue refunds for partial months or unused time
  • Prices may change with 30 days' written notice to your registered email address
  • Payments are processed by Paystack. We do not store card details.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to DSM Connect — including business descriptions, photos, and promotional text. By submitting content, you grant DSM Connect a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content through the platform and its associated channels. You can remove your content at any time by updating your listing or closing your account.

6. Unclaimed listings

DSM Connect displays publicly available business information to help consumers discover local services. Listings sourced from public data are clearly marked as unclaimed. If you are the owner of an unclaimed listing, you can claim it to take control, or request its removal at any time, free of charge. We process removal requests within 30 days.

7. Service availability

We aim for 99% uptime and will communicate scheduled maintenance in advance where possible. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform and are not liable for losses caused by downtime, technical failures, or interruptions outside our reasonable control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of DSM Connect is capped at the total subscription fees you paid to us in the three months immediately preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on the severity of the violation. You may close your account at any time via the dashboard or by contacting us at legal@dsmconnect.co.za.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of DSM Connect will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Gauteng.
